Warranty conditions
Medifridge applies the following warranty conditions (within the BeNeLux):
1. You will receive a 3 year warranty after the date of purchase on the entire refrigerator compartment and electrical equipment such as thermostat, thermal protection, relay, fan, transformer, switch, subject to conditions 3 to 16.
2. In the first 12 months after the purchase date, nothing will be charged for service provision of the above cases, which fall under these warranty conditions. From the first year after the purchase date, the following will be charged:
- The call-out costs
- The wages
All other components are not charged. On working days, the costs will be increased by 50% after 5 p.m. The surcharge for Saturdays is 50% between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 100% after 4 p.m. The surcharge for Sundays and public holidays is 200% between 08:00 and 16:00 and 300% after 16:00.
3. The warranty performance means that the device is returned free of charge in the condition it was in before the defect occurred. Broken parts are repaired or replaced. Parts replaced free of charge or at an adjusted price become the property of Medifridge B.V. and disposed of in a responsible manner by the service representative.
4. The problem and/or malfunction must be reported immediately, so that possible further damage can be prevented.
5. The user must demonstrate the date of purchase by means of an invoice.
6. The warranty does not cover minor deviations from the stated quality that are unnecessary for the value and reliability of the device.
7. The warranty applies (see points 1 and 2) to parts as well as labor and call-out costs.
8. The warranty is only valid if the device is used in accordance with the instructions given in the user manual. The warranty is only valid if the device is used for the purpose for which it was manufactured.
9. Loose parts such as grids, wire baskets, (LED) lamps and loose plastic parts and/or other accessories are excluded from the guarantee. Any damage by third parties or other users is also excluded from the warranty. Transport damage that is not the responsibility of Medifridge B.V. is also excluded from the warranty. has arisen, improper use, malfunctions as a result of installation errors, intent, misuse, lack of maintenance, insufficient and/or irregular defrosting of the device, failure to observe the operating instructions.
10. The warranty also does not apply if:
- Damage was caused by abnormal environmental conditions
- Damage is caused by operating conditions that are not appropriate for the device
- Damage is caused by chemical and electrochemical action of water
- Damage is caused by contact with aggressive substances
- If the type and/or serial number of the product has been removed or changed
- Desired and/or necessary adjustments to the product that have been adjusted without permission from Medifridge B.V.
- Damage caused by abnormal installation of the product.
11. If the device is built in, hung or placed in such a way that the time required for installation and removal together amounts to more than 15 minutes, the resulting additional costs (man-hour) will be charged to the user.
12. Medifridge B.V. does not reimburse the costs of repairs that are not carried out by the service employees of Medifridge B.V. or performed on its behalf. Medifridge B.V. is also a is not liable for consequential damages, which arise directly or indirectly from a malfunction. The right to warranty and product liability also lapses if a defect is caused by the intervention of a third party. The product liability also expires if the device is equipped with accessories that are not genuine Medifridge parts.
13. The warranty period will not be extended if a repair is made within the warranty period. When the device is supplied by Medifridge B.V. cannot be repaired, the device will be exchanged for a new comparable product.
14. Medifridge B.V. declares that after the warranty period, repairs to Medifridge devices will also be handled in a proper manner if, in the opinion of its service employees, this is desirable or necessary.
15. Further or other rights, in particular compensation for damage arising outside the device and/or the contents of the device, are excluded insofar as liability is not established by law. In case of liability, compensation will not exceed the purchase value of the device.
